Critical Mass

Critical Mass rides which anyone can join - on bikes, skateboards, roller skates, whatever - are non-hierarchically arranged events in which wheels travel through traffic, changing their shape as people join and leave. The next Liverpool one is on 12 October, meeting as always at the Chinese Arch at Lord Nelson Street. The meets are on the second Friday of each month. Critical Mass is a zone without a home,  form without shape, slipping through the cracks left by the 'official' zones of business and regulation. This short clip by two Zoners is a recording which has been through audacious alchemy to make of  a happening a non-recording but a signature.
